Timmy Mallett and Lorraine Kelly made a big splash in Dundee when they boarded the Broughty Ferry lifeboat.
The TV presenters were treated to a trip on the Duke of Windsor offshore vessel and a tour of the RNLI station.
The volunteer crew enjoyed the chance to answer the celebrities’ questions and showed them Dundee from the water.
Peter Hay, second coxswain, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to show off our station and boats to such friendly people.”
Timmy Mallett tweeted: “Terrific trip with the Broughty Ferry lifeboat. These crew are brilliant.”
Saturday turned out to be a busy day for the crew. They were called into action in the evening following a report of a parachute ditching in the Tay near Errol.
The inshore lifeboat was also launched in the search coordinated by the coastguard and also involving the police and the public.
The lifeboats recovered from the water two large foil balloons which were believed to be the cause of the alarm.
