A Dundee carer and cook died suddenly in a car park in the east end of the city on Monday.
Carina Soave, of Forfar Road, was a chef in Ferry House care home and was only 51.
She suffered a heart attack brought on by her chronic asthma.
She had just phoned her mother, asking her to put the kettle on, before she collapsed.
Paramedics rushed to the scene at the Lidl supermarket on Dura Street but were unable to resuscitate her.
Her family are devastated by their sudden loss.
Carina’s father Benedetto said: “She cared so much for people and was always sad when an undertaker had to visit the care home. It’s strange she’s gone before all of the older people she cared for.”
Her mother Zita said: “She was an awfully good person and caring and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so well-liked.
“Carina was always taking people places and she was very popular with the people in the care home as well.
“They called her an angel. She’d see someone she knew going up the road and tell them to get in the car so she could give them a lift.”
Carina’s funeral will be at the Immaculate Conception RC Church in Lochee on Monday at 10am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
The interment will take place at Eastern Cemetery, Arbroath Road.
