School pupils made a stunning start to the two-night Rock Challenge extravaganza at Dundee’s packed-out Caird Hall.
Hundreds of youngsters are vying to progress in the nationwide competition which will involve some 330 schools and see 20,000 young people performing to a total audience of almost 40,000 as they aim to fulfil the mission of the 2016 event and Dream Big, Shine Bright.
In the first heat Kinross High triumphed, with Arbroath Academy in the runner-up spot and Dundee’s St John’s RC High third.
Arbroath Academy’s performance, Wild Things was declared by the judges as a colourful and energetic performance from start to finish with the use of vibrant and bold costumes to create larger than life characters.
