A Dundee nursery has been praised by the Care Inspectorate for its continued improvement.
Oranges and Lemons in Clement Park received grades of good for the quality of its care and support, environment, staffing and management and leadership after an unannounced visit in June.
In its inspection last year the nursery’s environment and management and leadership were voted only adequate. Inspector Karen Lock found a warm and welcoming atmosphere and environment, and cheerful and motivated staff.
Children were increasingly involved in determining their own play and learning, and there were improved opportunities for children and parents to give feedback on the service.
The inspector listed a range of points for improvement including more opportunities for feedback, robust systems for handwashing and smoothing a rough wooden fence.
There was considerable improvement since the 2012 inspection, however, with responsive planning working well and better experiences for children.
The service had also continued to extend opportunities for children and parents to offer their views and suggestions for the service.
