Police warn Dundee crossbow attackers ‘the net is closing in’
ByThe Courier Reporter
Three men being hunted by police in Dundee after targeting a house with weapons have been told they should “come to us before we get to them”.
The men, armed with weapons including a crossbow, targeted a house in Balbeggie Street last Wednesday, driving up in a dark car thought to be a Vauxhall Vectra and banging on the front door at 6.30pm.
They then broke the windows of a car parked in the street before smashing a window.
The men all thought to be in their early twenties wore dark, hooded tops. One had a Nike swoosh and one of the men had ginger or red hair poking out under his hood.
In a second incident at about 9pm, two men wearing dark tops with the hoods up were seen carrying weapons outside the same house. They left a short time later in a silver people carrier.
Detective Inspector Gary Ogilvie said: “They should know the net is closing and the best thing they could do now is come to us now before we get to them.”
Anyone with information should call 101, or speak to any police officer.
