Major delays as man struck by car on Kingsway West in Dundee

A male pedestrian suffered leg injuries after being involved in a collision with a car on the Kingsway West in Dundee at rush-hour on Friday morning.

The incident occurred just after 8.30am and caused lengthy delays on the northbound carriageway.

Police and paramedics both attended the incident but the man was said to be conscious following the accident.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Dundee are advising of queuing traffic eastbound on the Kingsway at the junction of Forfar Road, following a road traffic incident.

“Enquiries are ongoing and motorists should expect delays in this area and consider alternative routes.”
