A Dundee pensioner has denied being in charge of a dog which allegedly bit a two-year-old child in the city.
Robina Caesar, 67, of Frederick Street, is accused of being in charge of a German shepherd called Glen when it was allegedly dangerously out of control and attacked the child and a woman, repeatedly biting them both on the body and injuring them.
The incident is alleged to have taken place at Frederick Street on August 22.
Caesar has been charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, as well as under an alternative charge through the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.
The alternative charge alleges that Caesar was in charge of a German shepherd called Glen and suffered or permitted it to cause danger, injury or reasonable cause for alarm or annoyance to a woman and a two-year-old child.
It goes on to allege that the dog attacked them in a public place and repeatedly bit them both on the body and injured them.
Caesar denies the charge and will stand trial on January 7 with an intermediate hearing on December 11.
