The force is advising members of the public to keep their eyes peeled after the pet was reported missing from a home on Portree Avenue. It is believed the snake went missing between 8am and 6pm on Tuesday. The snake is described a nine foot in length and the thickness of an arm. Officers however claimed that the creature is very docile and is not thought to be any danger to the public. Police Scotland and SSPCA are working to trace the animal and are appealing for anyone with information to call 101.
