Dundee fighter Marc “Freakin Rican” Navarro has vowed to keep fighting after his defeat in a major national clash at the weekend.
The Stobswell fighter, who is the Scottish and Dynamite fight series K1 champion, moved up a weight class to take on Iain “Badman” Martell in London.
Martell won the Light-heavyweight UK1 title fight but Marc has already signed up to compete for the British Ultimate Challenge Mixed Martial Arts (UCMMA) title at middlewight in November.
He said: “I gave it everything. I definitely felt the extra weight.
“It was hard trying to fight my fight but I’m still very happy with myself and how far I’ve come.”
Marc’s coach Paul Kean said: “It was an amazing fight and at light-heavyweight a division above his fighting weight. Marc took the fight to be noticed by the fight promoters and he did that.”
