Mr McLean was injured in a flat he was visiting with friends in Abbots View on Saturday night. He died later in hospital.

He leaves behind his parents Alan and Petrina, partner Jennifer and son Connor, believed to be around six months old.

He also had a brother Craig and a sister Lisa.’Family values’In a statement released through Fife Police Mr McLean’s parents described him as “a charismatic, lovely family man”

“Barry was exceptionally close to his parents, brother and sister and was a devoted partner and father,” they said.
