Inspection finds west Fife taxi fleet in ‘exceptional’ condition
ByNews reporter
West Fife taxis have scored an ”exceptional” 100% pass rate in annual inspections.
All 92 cars tested during October, November and December passed first time.
This is a rise from previous sessions held last March and August, when 94% and 96% of taxis inspected passed at the first test.
Councillor Gerry McMullan, the chairman of Fife Council’s regulation and licensing committee, said: ”We are delighted at this news and of the work and standards achieved by our taxis here in west Fife.
”This is a true reflection of the focus and high standards adopted by the various companies and drivers operating here in west Fife.”
The council’s fleet maintenance manager Tom Henderson said the 100% pass rate was ”exceptional and worth noting”.
