Keith Stuart, of Stuarts of Buckhaven bakery, serves up some referendum-themed cakes.
There were no half-baked opinions in Buckhaven as The Courier’s referendum roadshow rolled into town.
Thanks to Stuart’s of Buckhaven bakery, visitors were able to enjoy some referendum-themed cakes as they shared their views.
However, both sides of the debate had to settle for an equal slice of the vote with 50% of those asked saying they will vote for independence, with the other 50% saying Scotland should remain a part of the UK.
Opinions were almost as close in Methil, with the No campaign winning 55% to 45%.
Keith Stuart backed the Better Together campaign, saying: “I want a stable future for Scotland.
“I’m not saying that we’re too small but the world is coming together as one.
“It is a smaller place and I feel we are better together.
“I also don’t think that David Cameron will say ‘welcome back’ if it doesn’t go well.”
Linda McCallum also said she would be voting no, but supported the idea of Devo Max.
“I campaigned for devolution but not for independence,” she said.
Amos Smith said: “I’ll be voting yes. I think it’s better for the future of Scotland.
“We could stop blaming the English for our own mistakes and take responsibility for what we do.”
