British Golf Museum’s new rooftop cafe is Open in time for international golf fans

Golf fans will be able to enjoy a new rooftop view of the Old Course during next month’s Open Championship.
The British Golf Museum has reopened its doors following a 12-month refit, and central to the refurbishment is a new 80-seat cafe on the museum roof and taking in panoramic views of the course.
To mark the reopening, a special exhibition charting the five Open triumphs of Tom Watson is being held, featuring memorabilia donated directly by the American legend.
Angela Howe, museum and heritage director, said: “The cafe, the re-designed galleries and shop herald a new chapter in the museum’s history and we are excited by the direction we are going in.
“The building has been transformed from a semi-hidden bunker to an elegant addition to the landscape.
“The museum has a stronger presence, which we hope will appeal to visitors and the local community.”
