ByMichael Alexander
The redistribution of chief inspector ranks in the Fife division has come into force this week days after Police Scotland said the changes would “come in gradually over the next few months”.
Chief Inspector Gordon Mitchell (formerly responsible for Kirkcaldy) is now responsible for the Dunfermline/south west Fife/Cowdenbeath areas; Chief Inspector Derek McEwan (formerly Glenrothes) is now responsible for the Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy areas; Chief Inspector Adrian Annandale (formerly traffic division) is now responsible for north east Fife and will also take over Levenmouth in “due course”.
Also, Chief Inspector Jill Harper (formerly chief inspector of north east Fife), Chief Inspector Chris Stones (formerly chief inspector of Dalgety Bay) and Chief Inspector Angela McLaren (formerly chief inspector of Dunfermline) are now working on “projects” at the Tulliallan Police College. Chief Inspector Mike Stevens, formerly of Cowdenbeath, is now based at Fife Divisional HQ in Glenrothes.
