ANTIQUES WORTH thousands of pounds were stolen from a house in Fife.
Police are investigating the theft which took place in Colinsburgh some time between Tuesday of last week and Sunday.
A grandfather clock, an antique spinning wheel, Japanese vases and ornaments were among the valuable items taken. Also stolen were Highland dress accessories, including a dirk, skean dhu and sporran.
Fife Police said some of the items were unique and easily identifiable, and have asked antiques dealers to be on the look out for them.
Detective Constable Kevin Payne, of Cupar CID, said: “We are appealing for information about this break-in, as the value of property stolen runs to thousands of pounds.
“Some of the items are quite big and this crime would have taken time to complete.
