A woman is to stand trial at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of selling dogs without a licence in a supermarket car park.
Jaimie Colquhoun is alleged to have “carried on a business selling animals”, namely English bulldog puppies, as pets.
Prosecutors say she offered the dogs for sale through internet trading websites and in public places, including the Morrisons supermarket car park in Dundee’s Afton Way.
She is being prosecuted under a section of the Pet Animals Act 1951 which prohibits the sale of animals in public places.
Colquhoun, 25, of Dunholm Road, Dundee, denies a single charge of selling animals without a licence to do so.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael set a trial date in June.
