The opening day of Perform in Perth got under way.
Ranging from small groups from primary schools to full-size school bands and orchestras, the ensembles performed at the North Inch Community Campus for the judges.
“The adjudicators were very impressed with the standard of musicianship and playing,” said festival secretary Michael Jamieson.
