A BID to break the world record for the largest game of touch rugby is to go ahead this weekend with a change of venue.
A challenge to the 262-player record was due to take place on the North Inch in Perth last Sunday but a frozen pitch forced Perthshire RFC to perform a knock-on and the game will now take place on Sunday.
Team members have been working hard to move all the necessary equipment to Huntingtower, where the Santa-themed game will now take place at noon.
Club rugby development officer, James Wade, said: “Perthshire RFC are ready to roll with part two of their quest to gain a world record for the club and the Fair City.
The event is a fundraiser for the Craig Hodgkinson Trust, which provides defibrillators to sports clubs across Scotland.
The event costs between £5-£10 and no experience is needed. Participants can keep their Santa suits.
