A leading acoustics firm has been appointed to carry out a major upgrade of Perth Concert Hall’s sound system.
The company, London-based Autograph Sales and Installations, has worked on several British landmark venues including the capital’s Barbican Concert Hall, Goldman Sachs’ UK headquarters and the chapel at Highgate Cemetery.
Now its team of experts will work on improvements at Perth Concert Hall.
The firm has been awarded the £210,000 contract by Perth and Kinross Council after a tendering process attracted four bids from companies across Britain.
Details of the project have yet to be revealed.
The hall, which was opened by the Queen in 2005, recently unveiled its line-up for the first quarter of the year.
The star attractions will include comedians Alan Carr and Jimmy Carr, family favourite Snow White On Ice, and 10cc.
Horsecross Arts, which manages the concert hall, announced that West End hit musical the Simon and Garfunkel Story will be taking to the stage next month.
