A motorist was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary on Tuesday evening following an accident on the Perth to Stirling A9 when a car caught fire and overturned.
The car occupant, whose details were not released, was trapped but was said not to have suffered serious injuries at the Blackford junction.
Traffic travelling north was delayed with long tailbacks eventually clearing around 7pm. Drivers were delayed for 20-30 minutes.
A spokesman for Tayside Fire and Rescue said: ”Four people had been released from the vehicle before our arrival.
”One person was trapped but this person was freed and then given first aid and put on a spinal board by our crew.”
