A 44-year-old man was killed on Saturday evening following a road accident in the Carse of Gowrie.
Two vehicles were involved in the horrific crash, on the unclassified road between St Madoes and Errol, known locally as the Low Carse Road, at around 11.20pm.
Emergency services arriving on scene found one vehicle resting in a field, while the other had also left the road and entered a forested area.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the male driver of a red Ford Fiesta died as a result of his injuries.
The two male occupants of a silver coloured Audi aged 35 and 31 were also injured in the accident.
