A Monikie man has thanked people who helped his wife after she was taken unwell during Nicola Benedetti’s performance at Perth Concert Hall on Friday.
The woman, who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, felt faint as a result of the pain and collapsed as she left her seat.
The concert was stopped for around 10 minutes as two audience members with medical experience rushed to her aid.
Benedetti later sent a message to the couple via an usher wishing the lady a speedy recovery.
The man said: “I’d just like to thank everyone who came to our help and I hope it didn’t cause too much disturbance.
“We are very grateful for the authorities for stopping the performance and giving us time to leave the concert hall.”
Acclaimed violinist Benedetti was in Perth for a three-day residency which started on Friday.
