A man threw eggs at a neighbour’s property in retaliation for her throwing used condoms out of her flat, a court has heard.
Jonas Kozlovas admitted breaching the peace by shouting, swearing and hurling the eggs in Perth’s Newlands Road on July 31 last year.
Perth Sheriff Court was told that there were tensions between the 35-year-old and his neighbour because of prophylactics being thrown into the communal area of their building.
Depute fiscal Robbie Brown said Kozlovas threw the eggs after becoming annoyed at his neighbour’s vacuuming, and being told by her to stop shouting and swearing.
Solicitor John Adams, defending, said: “There has been a lot of animosity between him and his neighbour. He tells me the neighbour had been throwing used condoms into the communal area in recent weeks.”
He appealed to Sheriff Michael Fletcher not to hand Kozlovas a custodial sentence. It would cause his family significant financial hardship as Kozlovas would lose his job if he was jailed.
Sentence was deferred on the matter until March 3.
Kozlovas, of Leonard Street, Perth, also admitted breaching bail on two occasions by defying conditions not to approach his wife or enter their home on Newlands Road.
Sheriff Fletcher jailed him for four months for the bail breaches.
