More than 70 firefighters have been battling a fire spreading at a hospital site in Aberdeen.
Emergency services were called to a “significant fire” in disused buildings in the Royal Cornhill Hospital site off Berryden Road in Aberdeen at around 10pm on Tuesday.
The blaze spread quickly in the derelict buildings and 15 appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene.
Police and the fire service worked with NHS Grampian to ensure that the Royal Cornhill Hospital itself did not need to be evacuated.
Berryden Road was closed to traffic due to the severity of the blaze, police said.
The force said the cause of the fire is not known and is appealing for information.
