Dundee boss Barry Smith is looking for his players to redeem themselves for the defeat at Ross County.
The Dark Blues host Partick Thistle on Saturday and Smith is demanding better from them following last weekend’s dismal 3-0 loss to the newly-crowned Division One champions.
”We know what to expect from Partick and they are dangerous at set-pieces and will be tough opposition,” said Smith. ”However, we shouldn’t be worrying about what they can do. We have to take care of ourselves first and foremost.
”So I am looking for a big reaction from the players after the Ross County game. That match was probably the first time we have been beaten having not played particularly well.
”In all the other games we have lost I feel we have done well in spells. We just didn’t look like scoring, whereas in those other games we have looked like getting a goal or two, so I want a good performance against Thistle.”
Striker Graham Bayne and midfielder Jamie McCluskey didn’t train on Thursday as they battle to get back from injury but Smith expects the pair to do so today.
