Dundee FC are poised to enter administration for the second time in seven years. The move follows a fight to save the club which had faced a £365,000 tax bill. Club negotiator Blair Nimmo had been in talks with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs to try to reach an agreement over repayments. No official statement had been made, but it is understood the majority of the board believe administration is the only way to save the club. It is thought that former benefactor Calum Melville’s pledged £200,000 would not have saved the club. Despite the grim news there is now optimism that the club will survive this latest crisis.
