The most important Fife derby in years is heading for a sell-out.
Dunfermline host Raith Rovers at East End Park on Saturday, with the Pars sitting just a point ahead of their rivals in the race for the first division title.
Rovers supporters have snapped up their allocation, leaving just a few hundred home end tickets still to be sold.
So it now looks odds-on that the stadium will reach its 11,780 capacity for the clash of the region’s big two.
The remaining briefs are available from the Dunfermline ticket office and turnstiles will open half an hour earlier than normal, at 1.30pm, to help fans get into the game on time.
Pars chairman John Yorkston is looking forward to a great occasion, saying, “When you look at the game it is absolutely massive in terms of the league and the atmosphere will be electric.
“There are only a few hundred tickets left and everything points to the game being a sell-out very soon.”
He added, “There is so much to play for. It is a local derby and everyone is up for it.
“There are only three games to go and although Saturday’s game is not a title decider it will play a major part in which team is going to go up.
“The whole town is buzzing and it is easy to see why because there is so much at stake.”
