Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci’s disciplinary tribunal hearing into allegations he seized hold of an official’s throat has been put back a week.
The 21-year-old was due to appear at Hampden on Thursday to face a SFA notice of complaint alleging violent conduct, with the forward accused of “seizing hold of” assistant referee Gavin Harris’ throat in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final defeat to Inverness on October 29.
However, that hearing has now been moved to a provisional date of Thursday, November 28, due to unavailability of witnesses.
United are contesting the allegation and will be represented when the hearing is reconvened.
Meanwhile, the SFA case against United coach Darren Jackson relating to the same fixture has also been postponed.
Jackson was sent to the stands along with the then Inverness boss Terry Butcher, and both were charged with “failing to behave in a responsible manner”.
That hearing has now been postponed until Thursday, December 5, again due to unavailablity of witnesses.
