Overnight roadworks planned for a section of the M90 in Fife are to go ahead as scheduled this weekend.
The slip road from the A823(M) eastbound to the M90 southbound will be closed on Friday from 8pm until 6am to allow operating company Amey to carry out emergency barrier repairs.
A diversion will be signposted via the M90 northbound, turning back onto the M90 southbound at Junction 3 Halbeath near Dunfermline.
Motorists travelling during these times are advised to allow a few extra minutes for their journey.
A spokesperson for Amey said: “All non-essential operations on the network have been stood down while the current coronavirus restrictions are in place, however these emergency repairs are essential for safety.
“Work will therefore proceed in strict compliance with Scottish and UK Government guidance on social distancing and hand hygiene.”
