Experience the magic of Disney – a little closer to home

It’s not always possible to jet off across the Atlantic to indulge in that magical dream trip you’ve been promising yourself and the kids.

A short plane ride over the English Channel will transport you and yours to the twinkly, fairytale world of Disney in just under two hours.

Previously known as Euro Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris has pulled out all the stops to recreate the wonder of the American dream on European soil.

The magic is alive and well and in your face from the minute you get there until you have to tear yourself away.

Approximately 20 miles outside the romantic city of Paris you will find yourself at the heart of the magic.

So conveniently placed within super easy reach of Paris, that it is possible to have a double whammy on even a short trip.

You can happily combine the thrills and spills of Disney with a grown up city break in the beautiful French capital.

In fact I insist…it would be rude not to!

An efficient shuttle bus service runs between Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports and will transport you Disneyland Paris in under an hour, or visitors can take a TGV train from Charles de Gaulle airport which is super fast and takes around 10-15 minutes.

Epcot Centre

Can I let you into a little secret? Disneyland Paris is not just for kids; even the Mums and Dads will find it difficult not to get into the spirit of things here.

In fact, even if it’s not your thing at all, just embrace it and let your inner child take over.

It’s an experience you’ll never forget and probably one you’ll want to repeat time and time again.

There really is something for all the family though – white knuckle rides, parades, night time laser shows with fireworks and all of our favourite Disney characters are brought to life and you may even manage to get a selfie with Cinderella!

Walt Disney World monorail

The vast site is divided into three key areas:

Disney Village at Disneyland Paris:

Here you can get a real taste of the USA as themed bars and restaurants take you from Florida to California, Chicago to New York and the Wild West to Hollywood, catering for every palate.

Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris:

Lights! Camera! Action! – enter the fascinating world of film and animation for non-stop fun.

Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris:

Be at the heart of the action and explore Main Street, USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland.

Our Top Tips:

  • Be sure to use Fastpass – pre-book your ride slots for shorter waiting times.
  • Visit early evening when the rides tend to be quieter than during the day.
  • Avoid dining in the resort restaurants at peak times such as lunchtime noon- 2pm
  • Take a packed lunch if you really want your euros to go further
  • Download the Disney app to plan your day and keep up to date with ride waiting times etc. We found this invaluable!

We’ve teamed up with talkholiday to bring you the best prices and offers for travel to Disneyland Paris. Travel themed social media network talkholiday is a site where you can plan, prepare and purchase every aspect of your travel, even down to your holiday wardrobe! In addition, the site boasts a free crisis support feature for holidaymakers in the event of a natural disaster, or if they lost their passport, mobile phone or bags on holiday.
