Police were called to a two-car crash in an Angus town on Wednesday morning.
Two vehicles collided and a tree was said to be blocking the B966 Edzell to Brechin road near the Trinity Garden Centre following the incident at about 4.45am.
Nobody was injured in the crash.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended a two-vehicle non-injury road traffic collision on the B966 near Brechin about 4.45am this morning.
“The road was also blocked by a fallen tree which has now been cleared.”
The road was reopened at about 8am.
It comes as heavy snowfall and strong wind forced the closure of a string of roads across Tayside.
