Dundee’s Craig Wighton is set to continue his comeback from injury in this evening’s Development League clash with Kilmarnock.
Last week saw the Scotland U/21 international make his return from seven months out with damaged knee ligaments when he came on for the last half hour of the second string’s derby win over Dundee United.
Tonight’s game at Montrose’s Links Park should see the 20-year-old get longer on the pitch.
If he comes through that unscathed, the young attacker will remain on course for a return to the first-team squad some time next month.
Teenager Matty Henvey was due back in training this week after recovering from the knee injury suffered in the top-team win at Hamilton last month, a game in which he scored.
Tonight’s action, though, might be coming just too soon for the highly-rated kid.
