Naked pedestrian killed on A90 named as Mearns businessman Barry McRae

The naked pedestrian killed on the A90 on Friday has been named locally as Barry McRae, a businessman from the Mearns.

Friends having been paying tribute to the 34 year-old building firm owner, who died after being hit by a car at 2.30am.

Inquiries into the death are continuing, with witnesses stating Mr McRae was naked when the collision occurred.

The A90 was closed for more than 12 hours following the incident, leading to lengthy diversions and tailbacks.

Mr McRae married his wife Amanda in 2011 and ran building firm B McRae Contractors from his home near Glenbervie.
