A group of friends who met while on a course at Dundee College is making final preparations ahead of a first art exhibition.
The six women, the oldest of whom is in her 70s, have just completed their part-time studies in contemporary art practice at the college.
Dundee resident Felicia known as Fela Helmore (63), said she cannot wait for the exhibition to open.
Mrs Helmore said, “We didn’t want to lose touch after college.
“Someone said, ‘Why don’t we hold an exhibition?’ which is how it came about.”
She added, “This is our opportunity to show what we can do and we intend to continue, this is not our only exhibition but our first.
“All sorts of artwork will go on show including, fabric landscapes and collages.”
The artistic women hail from Montrose, Bridge of Cally, Perth, Pittenweem, Newport and Dundee.
The exhibition, which will showcase an eclectic mix of work comprising around 45 pieces, opens to the public on August 22 until 27 at the Dundee Botanic Gardens visitor centre on Riverside Drive.
