Proposed maintenance has been postponed yet again on one of Fife’s busiest stretches of road.
The A92 between the Bankhead Roundabout at Glenrothes and Redhouse Roundabout in Kirkcaldy was to be closed over the weekend to allow for resurfacing work.
However, with inclement weather forecast, the route will remain open as normal this weekend.
It is the second time that the works have been cancelled, with dry weather required for the new road surface to be applied properly.
A future date for the maintenance is still to be announced, though Bear Scotland, which maintains the trunk road, has reiterated its commitment to improving the road.
