Glenrothes remain on the heels of BT Caledonia Division 1 pacesetters Gordonians after squeezing past Hillfoots 28-27 in a tense encounter at Carleton Park that was decided in injury time.
Two tries for Gareth Parry and one each for Gavin Paterson and Gregor Mcintosh, plus kicking contributions by Gregor Manson and Andrew Hamilton, left Hillfoots 27-21 ahead with seconds to play.
Stewart Hainey had touched down twice for the Fifers and Jordan Grubb had also crossed the whitewash, with Shaun Gray booting all three conversions.
Gray proved to be the matchwinner when he plunged over in the corner then thumped over the touchline conversion.
