Former friends of twisted killer Gary Stevenson insist the murderer has long since had a reputation as a violent sex pest.
Stevenson, who was sentenced to a minimum of 17 years in prison for murdering Katy Rourke, had a short stint at Stirling University, where he is said to have displayed some of the frightening traits which led to Katy’s tragic death.
Former roommates and friends of the killer claim he would turn violent against any female who rejected his advances.
He’s said to have left one female student in tears and smashed another’s mobile phone after being turned down.
One female, who asked not to be named, described lying in bed before suddenly being confronted by Stevenson, who demanded sex.
She said: “He locked the door and asked what another student had that he didn’t.
“He was towering over my bed. It was really creepy.
“I said: ‘It’s not happening’.”
“He started at me, went to the sink and used my toothbrush, then knelt beside me and said: ‘It is happening’.”
“I stood my ground and he calmed down. I was scared of him.”
Another roommate added: “Gary treated women as a product.
“He didn’t like it when things didn’t go his way.”
According to students, Stevenson, 27, also displayed a violent temper during his single term at the campus.
During a visit to the Wallace Monument, Stevenson is alleged to have told friends: “If I was God, I would kill everyone”.
Former friends say the violent thug punched a man for not handing over a cigarette during another outburst.
The killer is said to have regularly “drank himself into oblivion” and would spend all of his money on booze.
Stevenson’s sickening crimes surprised few of his former colleagues.
“Most people saw it coming. He was really dark,” said one.
