Robbie Neilson should have his usual squad to pick from when Dundee United host Championship leaders Ayr United on Friday night.
Skipper Fraser Fyvie is back in full training after the hamstring strain that forced him to miss last Tuesday’s win over Alloa.
And after making the bench for that one, defender Frederic Frans will be in the running for a return to the starting line-up against the Honest Men. That leaves just long-term absentees Lewis Toshney and Deniz Mehmet out of the reckoning.
They are both making progress and goalkeeper Mehmet could be ready to challenge for a place by the end of the year.
He’s been out since last season’s play-off against Dunfermline with damaged knee ligaments.
United’s reserves will see action when they take on Barry Ferguson’s Kelty Hearts in Fife tonight.
Away from league business, the Tangerines could be up against a familiar face when the Scottish Cup comes round in January.
Saturday’s fourth-round draw handed them an away tie at Annan or Montrose, who drew at Links Park at the weekend.
If Montrose can win the replay, it would mean Tannadice legend Sean Dillon lining up against his old team at Links Park on Saturday, January 19.
Dillon was, of course, a member of United’s 2010 cup-winning line-up.
