Part of the A957 in Stonehaven was shut following the discovery in mid-July. The road closure in Stonehaven. Two homes had to be evacuated after subsidence was detected. Aberdeenshire Council has now confirmed that the road will partially reopen on Thursday at 7am. In a statement on social media, a spokesperson said: “There will be traffic signals in place and the traffic will be restricted to one lane. “Pedestrian crossing and access will be maintained.”
