A Broughty Ferry pensioner has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a pet spaniel and its owner.
Derek Black was placed on the Sex Offenders Register after a four-day trial at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The 67-year-old was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman several times at addresses in the city between 2013 and 2017.
A jury of nine women and six men also found him guilty of engaging her dog in a sex act at her home.
An allegation that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards another woman was found not proven.

Over the course of the trial the court heard evidence that Black told his victim he “knew a good way to tire out” her energetic dog, before leaving her shocked by carrying out the sex act in front of her.
The 25-year-old woman, who had known him for years, said “creepy” Black had also rummaged through her drawers and mocked her about having a “Red-eyed Cobra” sex toy.
She said Black also carried out a sexual assault on her after he had been aroused by touching the spaniel’s genitals.
Dundee Sheriff Court was shown WhatsApp messages between Black and the complainer from 2016.
In them, he asked how “horn” was – which he claimed was short for “horn dog” – and would repeatedly ask if the dog was “hard”.
“It was a reference to the dog – it was permanently humping and mounting things,” he said.
At one point such a message was followed the next morning with a kiss emoji, and a further message telling her to “delete all nonsense”.
First-offender Black, of Gray Street, Broughty Ferry, will return to court on August 10 for sentencing.
Sheriff Alistair Carmichael called for background reports.
Black will remain on bail, and the court was told he intends to travel to Portugal for his son’s wedding before sentencing.
