The incident took place on the A932 Friockheim to Forfar road near Pitmuies Gardens at about noon. The clear-up operation in full swing following the tree which fell across the A932 near Pitmuies Gardens. Staff from the estate and police are working to clear the blocked road. It comes as heavy rainfall and a forecast for thunderstorms led to a number of events across Tayside and Fife being cancelled. Two severe weather warnings are coming into effect across Courier country – along with flood alerts for Dundee, Angus, Fife, and Perth and Kinross – as the area prepares for three days of torrential rain, strong winds and thunderstorms.
