Dundee United have announced changes to the board at Tannadice with two arrivals and one departure.

The new directors are former Dundee City Council Chief Executive David Dorward and local businessman Jimmy Fyffe.

However, corporate lawyer David McGrory has stepped down due to business commitments.

Dorward spent just under 20 years with the council. A keen United supporter, he is a founding member of ArabTRUST and also chairman of charity Dundee United Community Trust.

Fyffe has sponsored Dundee United’s kits through his company JF-Kegs for four years and has been a sponsor of the club for almost 10 years.

Chairman Stephen Thompson said, “The club has been looking for fresh talent and expertise at boardroom level and I am delighted that both David and Jimmy will join the board here at Tannadice.

“Both are strong-minded, business orientated, passionate United fans. They will add a lot of experience and knowledge to the board.

“David has been an associate director and has already shown his value and Jimmy has impressed me in his business dealings and discussions.

“David McGrory has served with distinction in his three years at the club. He came on board at a time of much structural change and his experience proved invaluable.

“I and the rest of the board want to thank David for his efforts on behalf of the club.”
