Traditional values and a high-quality personal service are at the heart of its success, while it continues to modernise and develop in line with changing needs. The workshop specialises in blacksmiths and agricultural engineering and has supported all local farmers within the Perthshire and Kinross area since 1934. Originally called Robert Aitken and Sons, it recently rebranded as Tullibardine Smiddy Ltd and father and son Neil and Craig Aitken are now opening an agricultural store, sponsored by Kramp.
Local supply at reasonable prices
“Clients are used to coming to us for machine repairs and fabrication and this is the latest step for us,” says Craig “We have four generations’ experience here and investing in a retail shop is significant for us and our customers, as we will have 3,000 more items and consumables instantly available. We will also have special offers every month which reflect what our regular customers are buying so we achieve a unique balance of local supply which is also reasonably priced. Kramp is all over Europe, so we’re able to offer over 500,000 products along with exclusive store opening offers.”
Understanding the customer
Tullibardine Smiddy Ltd has always considered customer relationships to be at the top of their agenda, which Craig believes also sets them aside from any other online offering.
“It’s always been about having a chat and understanding the customers’ needs,” he says “With that starting point anyone with a query feels able to get in touch and know that they’re actually speaking to someone who understands and is keen to give a good personal service. We’re here to try and help everyone with a one stop shop and all the experience and expertise our customers expect in an ever- growing agricultural industry. We provide the highest attention to any aspect of agricultural needs alongside the widest range of services and products, and we’re welcoming everyone, whether trade or regular.”
Easy access
Neil and Craig are also inviting everyone to an Open evening event at the agricultural shop on the 17th November from 6pm to 8pm at Unit 1, Strathallan Airfield, Tullibardine, Auchterarder, PH3 1LA. “It’s a good opportunity to see what’s here, enjoy some free food and drink and take part in a free raffle, with some great prizes,” says Craig “We’re offering 25% off all Kramp clothing, excluding PPE, in store only on the opening night. Our product range includes clothing, garden machinery, forestry and agricultural equipment, as well as leading products from Milwaukee and Sealey. There’s also a further offer to all those who sign up to our online Tullibardine Smiddy Ltd account, where they will receive 25% off on all products, up to the value of £500, on their first purchase. Your online account will give you access to 500,000 products from 4000 brands and next day delivery.”
