Britpop nostalgia returns to Courier Country on May 31 and June 31 when Liverpudlian rock band Cast play Truth in Leven and the Reading Rooms in Dundee.
The band, who split in 2001 before reforming in 2010, are best remembered for tracks like Fine Time and Alright.
They went down a storm towards the end of last year when they supported fellow 1990s legends Shed Seven on a UK tour.
Cast, whose live performances were once described by Noel Gallagher of Oasis as like a “religious experience” and who were also labelled “The Who of the 90’s”, are fronted by John Power, formerly of The La’s.
Legend has it the name Cast was taken from the final word on The La’s eponymous album where the song Looking Glass ends with the repeated line ‘The change is cast’.
The current line-up features John Power, Liam Tyson, Peter Wilkinson, Keith O’Neill, Barry Sutton and Jay Lewis.
