An elderly man drove his car into his kitchen and took out his water and gas supply on Sunday night.
The accident happened on a street in Hillside, Montrose, around 5.30pm.
A full-scale emergency response was initially scrambled after the alarm was raised.
The man was assessed by paramedics at the scene but did not require to be taken to hospital.
His injuries were described as minor.
“The main casualty has been the house,” said a police spokesman.
Firefighters made the vehicle safe.
A safety inspection was also carried out following the damage to the water and gas supply.
The man was decanted for the evening as a result of the damage.
