A drunken Scone woman who shouted rape when police attended at her house will be supervised.

Police attended at Caitlin Spencer’s Catmoor Avenue home at 9.10pm on March 29 in 2021.

“Extremely intoxicated” Spencer became abusive and called police names including rapists and said she would kill them.

She squared up to one constable and displayed her middle finger in his face and began to scream “rape”.

Officers had to restrain Spencer, 29, when she became violent.

She kicked two and tried to bite one on her face.

As well as the two assaults, she admitted, at West Bell Street police headquarters in Dundee, acting in a threatening and abusive manner.

She was sentenced to 18 months supervision by Sheriff Paul Reid.

Troon Avenue murder trial day 3

Troon Avenue murder accused Andrew Innes took the stand in his own defence on the third day of his trial.

The 52-year old app designer told the jury how he stabbed Bennylyn Burke with a Samurai sword in his Dundee home.

He said he was in an “apocalyptic rage” after seeing visions of past failed relationships as he looked at Mrs Burke, who he had collected from Bristol a few days earlier.

He said he later killed her daughter Jellica because it was “logical” to do so as she kept asking about her mother.

Soldier fined

A soldier who gave an Arbroath bar worker a black eye and called her and two patrons “slags” has been fined  £210 for assault and threatening and abusive behaviour.

Plymouth-based soldier Glenn Tasker was not present at Forfar Sheriff Court when his pleas of guilty were accepted.

He was at the Central Bar on November 11 in 2021 and joined a table with two women.

They asked him to leave and he called them slags.

When the bartender intervened, he directed the insult towards her.

She attempted to steer Tasker out but he grabbed her by the arm and then the hair.

The 29-year-old was taken outside and continued struggling with the employee and struck her on the face, leaving her with swelling and a slight black eye.

Refund con

A guest used a sophisticated scheme to con a major chain hotel out thousands of pounds in a single night. Dillon Anandarajan, carried out a scam at the Holiday Inn Express in Perth by transferring “refunds” to his own credit card. At Perth Sheriff Court, he admitted attempting to obtain £13,500 by fraud from the hotel.

Stalker to be sentenced

A Perth stalker will be sentenced this month for a string of offences dating back more than a decade.

Michael Watson pled guilty to three domestically aggravated crimes at an earlier hearing and had expected to find out his fate this week.

However, with his defence counsel unavailable, his sentencing was further postponed until February 15.

The 33-year-old, of Bute Drive, admitted on multiple occasions between October 2010 and October 2011, shouting and swearing at his then-partner “in a manner likely to cause fear or alarm.”

He also admitted stalking another former partner between April and December in 2014.

At addresses in Perth, he swore and acted in an aggressive manner towards the woman and repeatedly called her mobile pone while she was at work.

The abusive remarks made over the phone were heard by the woman’s mother.

Watson also engaged in a course of abusive behaviour towards the woman between April and July in 2019, making derogatory remarks – including about personal hygiene – and repeatedly contacting her.

This included ringing her around 50 times during one visit to a Perth restaurant.
