Ellis Watson, the chief executive officer of publishing at DC Thomson, has been recognised for his contribution to the UK media industry.

Mr Watson received an honorary award of Doctor of Business Administration (Hon DBA) from Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen on Wednesday.
