A busy centre street in Perth has been shut down after a pipe was spotted dangling dangerously from a building.
South Street has been shut off outside the St John’s Centre as firefighters using their elevated platform appliance try to remove the piping that is attached to the flats about Bayne’s Bakery.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.50am on Tuesday to reports of a dangerous structure hanging from a building on South Street, Perth.
“Two fire appliances have been mobilised to the scene, where crews are removing an iron pipe and working to make the area safe.
