Significant queues have built up on the western approach to the city as carriageway repairs take place. Traffic lights have been introduced at the junction with Needless Road. Vehicles were queued back as far as Broxden Services in one direction and towards Riggs Road in the other at the height of the morning congestion. One motorist said: “There will have been plenty of people late for work this morning. “I think the works started at the weekend but they seem to have taken a lot of people by surprise.”
