Two drivers have been taken to hospital following a crash on one of Perthshire’s busiest roads.
Police and the fire and rescue service were called to the scene following the collision between a car and a van on the A9 Perth to Inverness road near the Loch Faskally – River Tummel Bridge.
The incident, which involved four men, took place at about 12.20pm.
The two drivers, one aged 74 and the other aged 75, were taken to Perth Royal Infirmary following the crash, however their injuries were said to be minor.
Two fire and rescue appliances, one from Aberfeldy and another from Dunkeld, attended the incident.
A spokeswoman for the service said: “It was on the A9 just south of Pitlochry. It was between a car and a van. There were four male persons removed before we got there.
“We got the call at 12.22pm. The stop message came back at 1.09pm.”
A police spokesman said: “Two persons were taken to Perth Royal Infirmary with very minor injuries. They were 74 and 75. It was the two drivers.”
The southbound carriageway was “restricted” southbound for more than an hour following the incident.
Traffic Scotland encouraged drivers to “use caution on approach and allow extra time for their journey”.
